Well guys, it’s the end of an era! My baby brother is officially a grown up 20 year old. Also, he just had his last EVER prom… Well, his girlfriend, Emily, had her last ever prom technically, but you get what I mean! Through-out the years, we’ve taken some STUNNING prom photos of these two. Here’s a couple of my favorites from past years:

This year’s session was just as great! The two of them were stunning and the stormy skies made for quite the dramatic backdrop. Take a look:

Emily & Brad- y’all are so grown! I’ve loved documenting these events for you and I know we will be doing so for years to come! :)

Readers – check back soon! Still to come – personal posts from the tail end of my wedding planning, a new blog series, a few gorgeous sessions, AND some important senior rep info for 2017′s group of seniors. :)

Meet Paige & Brantley – one of my favorite couples I’ve ever had the honor of photographing!

Now, I may be a little biased. Paige and I started teaching together last year and she quickly became one of my closest friends. When she texted me to tell me that she & Brantley were engaged, I was ecstatic for them! I was extra thrilled when she asked me to photograph their wedding! Unfortunately, I will be out of town for my own bachelorette party on their wedding day, but I WAS able to photograph their engagement session for them. :)

We had a great time and got some really amazing shots. To top it all off, Paige wanted to do half of their engagements in a library since she is a teacher and since they love to read. This is something that has been on my secret Pinterest board of photoshoot goals for FOREVER! I am in love with how it went. Take a look:

Paige & Brantley, I am so, so, so happy for you guys! I wish you a lifetime of happiness and I can’t wait to see what your futures hold! :)

As most of you know, I am getting married this June on the 18th.

I am so excited to experience that joy that I have watched unfold for so many of my clients.

We are officially 2 months out! I am overjoyed, anxious, excited, and, of course, stressed. I feel like life these days are meetings, to do lists, spreadsheets, and writing checks… Okay, so that’s not much different from my normal life as a photographer and small business owner, but now that I’m getting a double dose, it is quite the balancing act.

We’ve been mentally planning our day for years and officially planning for about 11 months (since the day we got engaged). We’ve gotten so much done, but it seems as though we haven’t even made a dent! We’ve booked caterers, photographers, florists, bakers, venues, and decorators. We’ve bought dresses, suits, accessories, and gifts. We’ve had photo shoots and planned more for the future. We’ve made hotel reservations and ticket purchases. And there’s still more to do? Yes!

God bless anyone who has every planned a wedding! Clients – now I truly understand your stress! Lucky for you, this shows me even more so that I need to take extra great care of you guys. ;)

Today, as I sat in my office, looking at this list of things that I have to do… things that I have to book… things that I have to buy… I realized, again, how blessed I am to have the lists, chores, and responsibilities that I do.

We get to have a beautiful wedding exactly like we have always dreamed and pictures. Plus – most importantly – we get to share it with everyone that we love!

And it’s only 2 months away. :)
